Runner-up most life-changing developer trend: All these freaky-ass languages on the Java Virtual Machine.

Best role-playing game accessory: How to Host A Dungeon

RailsConf 2008 + iPhone + CameraBag

RailsConf 2008 + iPhone + CameraBag

Soccer Ball (In The Face) (via ParryGripp)

We’ll put an antenna for Internet access on the top. We’ll get in and drive around the continent for the next five years. I’ll get up early in the morning and work as a freelance developer for 4 hours a day. I’ll probably hire an assistant overseas, and maybe even a few junior developers remotely if business gets hot. At noon each day, we either take our kids exploring, teaching them about reading and math and science and history up close and personal; or, we’ll drive somewhere new. We’ll all drink iced tea under the stars and meet new people and let the world be our schoolhouse.

Two more reasons my wife is awesome
